ISA9801 model card
The ISA9801 model card (ISA Plug&Play interface) is to be installed
on desktop computers and performs its network operation without the need
for cables among the equipments. Wireless computers may be moved freely
within the network area since they do not depend on network cables any
more.
Some of the main advantages of using the ISA9801 model on desktop
PCs are the ease for changes of orientation and location of desks, avoidance
of damage due to wrench of network cables (of course, there aren't) and,
thanks to it, the absence of physical maintenance of the network.
All of these features make wireless networks specially suitable for
museums, historic buildings, exhibitions, congresses, factories, temporary
headquarters and, in general, wherever the physical location of equipments
should be modified periodically and where the cable is a major limit to
extend the working area.
